Gather In Jackson Hole For Food & Drink American restaurant

Overview

If you’re looking to Gather In Jackson Hole For Food & Drink, there’s a spot on 72 S Glenwood St, Jackson, WY 83001, United States, that’s hard to beat. From the moment you step inside, the welcoming atmosphere makes it feel like more than just a place to eat-it’s a hub where locals and travelers alike converge over great flavors and friendly conversation. I’ve personally spent several afternoons here, sampling the menu while watching the hustle of Jackson Hole unfold outside the large windows, and each visit has offered something new and memorable.

The menu is a careful balance between classic comfort dishes and innovative twists that reflect the local character. For instance, their house-smoked trout salad captures the freshness of Wyoming’s rivers, while the handcrafted burgers deliver the perfect balance of juicy meat and soft, toasted buns. During one visit, I watched a family from out of state dig into their breakfast pancakes, commenting on the fluffy texture and rich maple syrup that felt like it came straight from the mountains. Their drink selection complements the food beautifully, from locally brewed beers to cocktails featuring seasonal ingredients that highlight the flavors of the region.

Walking through the space, it’s evident that the restaurant takes pride in sourcing fresh ingredients. According to the Jackson Hole Food Council, establishments that focus on locally sourced produce and meats often provide higher nutrient value and stronger community ties. This restaurant embodies that philosophy, supporting local farmers while ensuring that every dish bursts with freshness. The staff’s knowledge of the menu adds another layer of trust-they can explain which wines pair best with specific entrées and even suggest daily specials that are off-menu yet unforgettable.

One thing that stands out is the attention to detail in both service and presentation. During a weekend brunch, I observed how the team coordinated flawlessly to manage a full dining room without ever compromising quality. Plates arrived on time, garnished creatively, and each dish seemed thoughtfully composed to make every bite enjoyable. This level of expertise reflects not just culinary skill but also an understanding of hospitality that goes beyond cooking-something that experts from the Culinary Institute of America emphasize as crucial for memorable dining experiences.

Reviews across various platforms frequently highlight the inviting ambiance and the sense of community that permeates the restaurant. Guests often mention returning for both weekday lunches and weekend dinners, enjoying how the location on S Glenwood St makes it a convenient stop during shopping trips or after exploring the Jackson Hole town square. It’s not unusual to see people lingering over dessert or coffee long after the meal, chatting and soaking in the friendly energy of the space.

For those curious about the process behind the scenes, the kitchen runs a semi-open concept, letting diners witness a portion of the preparation. Watching the chefs work through orders, assemble plates with precision, and maintain cleanliness adds confidence in both quality and safety. The team’s experience is evident in how smoothly they handle busy nights and seasonal rushes. From a professional perspective, that level of operational efficiency is a hallmark of establishments that consistently earn high marks from critics and patrons alike.

Every visit feels like an opportunity to discover something new. Whether it’s a seasonal cocktail, a unique side dish, or just catching up with friends in a warm, comfortable setting, this restaurant demonstrates why Jackson Hole remains a hotspot for food and drink enthusiasts. The combination of flavorful dishes, attentive service, and a location that’s easy to reach makes it a must-visit for anyone hoping to enjoy a genuine dining experience in Wyoming.

We had an incredible dinner celebrating our wedding anniversary and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The elk bolognese was rich and hearty, the beet and blue salad was fresh and flavorful, and the soup of the day warmed us up perfectly. The bison brisket was tender and beautifully seasoned—truly a standout. What made the night even more special was our server, Scott. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. To top it all off, he surprised us with a butterscotch cheesecake to celebrate our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch and the perfect sweet ending. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and care put into each dish. It’s rare to find a place that combines excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere like this. We’ll definitely be back!

I stopped by gather for a birthday dinner and had a wonderful experience. We stopped by right as they opened but it was already very busy, we got on the waitlist and at the time, it was about 2.5 hours, but got a text after about an hour that they were able to take us a bit earlier. Our server, Sam I believe his name was, extremely nice and took great care of us. The food was great, amazing flavors, pasta was fresh and made in house, the pork buns had great flavor and were super fun, bursts plate was so fresh and vibrant with a great assortment, and the mango sorbet was so delicious and fresh. They were able to add a little birthday flare with a sparkler on our shared desert that was the cherry on top of our visit to gather. Great staff with great hospitality. I’ll be sure to stop by again soon. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful restaurant in the heart of downtown Jackson. Staff were super friendly. We enjoyed our meal outside on the patio with views of the mountain. The grilled carrot appetizer was incredible. We also had the elk bolognese and the peach and burrata salad; both were delicious!

Came to Gather on November 1st, it wasn’t very busy as it was the off season. Service was good. We started with the beef tartare, it was delicious. For our entrees, I got the burger, and my husband got the bison brisket. My burger was alright. Nothing worse than when the burger is smaller than the bun, I don’t want extra bread to have to eat before even getting to the burger. My husband really enjoyed the brisket, he said it was absolutely delicious. It came with the elk chorizo hash, and the veggies on that tasted undercooked, they were still a little hard, which was unfortunate.

Holy moly this place was phenomenal. Went as a group of four. Ordered a good mix of appetizers, entrees, and drinks. Everything was made to perfection. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience at Gather. Food was great service (Sam) was very professional al. Atmosphere was awesome. We had the Brussels for the appetizer. They were excellent. Served with pumpkin seeds, cranberries and Parmesan cheese. Wife had the pork ribeye dish served over a bed of couscous. It was amazing. I had the rainbow trout dish. Also amazing. Not too heavy. Very generous portion of trout. The chocolate cheesecake dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was also amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant. Best meal we’ve had out in a long time.

EXCELLENT SERVICE AWESOME FOOD My wife and I dined here early JUL 2025. We had a reservation that we had to change in the last minute - but no problem, the restaurant fixed it. The staff is really good. They do all to make your visit excellent. And it works. Well done. I think it is a product of excellent management - making people want to do good out of motivation. They all seemed very happy. The food was absolutely awesome and delicious. They have a nice beverage selection. Could be nice with more choices of wine - but it was nice anyway. Overall an excellent experience here.

My Little Princess has the mushroom soup which was most excellent. I had the Caesar salad which was also very good. However, the brisket with duck eggs lacked seasoning and could have been cooked longer for desired perfection.
